Diane Berry Love is an Executive Coach and Consultant who provides services in fund development, board development, and institutional planning to the not-for-profit and for-profit communities. With over 20 years experience, Ms. Love’s expertise includes planning and managing all phases of capital and annual campaigns, corporate and foundation funding programs, association foundation fundraising programs, development audits, launching new development programs and strategic planning. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professional and the International Coaching Federation.
Ms. Love has provided strategic direction and oversight of annual fundraising programs for more than 60 organizations with operational budgets of $100,000 to over $700 million. She has developed strategy and implemented capital campaigns for 14 organizations with goals ranging from $300,000 to $50 million including leadership and staff recruitment; staff and volunteer training and assignments; prospect identification, rating and research; and solicitations. As the director of development and assistant executive director, she successfully solicited national and local individual, foundation and corporate gifts for annual development budgets of $200,000 to $1 million.
In addition to her fundraising management expertise, Ms. Love has created, directed and provided oversight of design, content and production for over 25 non-profit organizations’ annual reports and campaign case statements. She has conducted training workshops for local and national organizations on topics including board development and responsibility, annual planning, strategic planning, capital campaigns and proposal writing. Her trainer and speaking activities have included sessions for the Council on Foundations, National Council of Nonprofit Associations, the Center for Nonprofit Advancement, The Foundation Center, Support Center and Association of Fundraising Professionals Fundraising Days. She is also a trainer for Grantwriting USA’s 2-day seminar on the art of applying for government and private grants.
Her previous positions include Vice President of Coviello & Associates, Associate Executive Director for the Leukemia Society of Metropolitan Washington and as Director of Development for the Arthritis Foundation, Metropolitan Washington Chapter and the American Association of Blood Banks Foundation.
